The EVO Nano can record 4K/30fps video and 48MP still images. It utilizes a three-axis mechanical gimbal. It has a fixed f/2.8 lens.

Screen Shot 2021 09 29 at 17 42 49

EVO Nano+ is capable of capturing 50 MP photos. It uses an RYYB color filter array design with a f/1.9 aperture. Autel claims that it offers superior noise reduction capabilities and the ability to capture quality images in low-light conditions.

You can track fast-moving subjects through the PDAF + CDAF autofocus system.

The drones feature the flock, rocket, fade away, and orbit automatic shooting modes.

Both the Nano and Nano+ use SkyLink, which provides a transmission range of 6.2 miles at 2.7K/30fps.

EVO Nano & EVO Nano+ Price & Availability

The EVO Nano retails for $649 USD, while the EVO Nano+ costs $799 USD.

EVO Lite+ & Evo Lite

Both the EVO Lite and EVO Lite+ weigh in at just 249g. The EVO Lite range sits between the sub-250-gram EVO Nano and the EVO II.

The Lite+ is equipped with a 1-inch CMOS image sensor and Autel’s intelligent moonlight algorithm that allow the drone to capture crisp, vibrant details at night with low noise, even when the ISO is cranked up high. An adjustable aperture from f/2.8-f/11 provides the ability to alter exposure and depth of field.

It can capture 6K at up to 30p video and 20MP still images. The Lite+ also has a Defog Mode which Autel claims reduces the haze with a fog penetration function that automatically adjusts the camera’s vibrance settings to make your footage look crisp and clear.

Autel claims that the EVO Lite comes with the world’s first 4-axis gimbal design. Why 4-axis? Well, having a fourth axis means you can shoot vertical video with the drone for easy sharing to social media platforms.

The EVO Lite features a 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor that adopts an RYYB color filter array design, that Autel claims absorbs 40% more light than traditional RGGB arrays.

Both EVO Lite and Lite+ drones can shoot HDR video. They also have the usual array of automatic shooting modes, such as flick, rocket, fade away, and orbit. Both drones can also utilize Autel’s Dynamic Track 2.1 which is claimed to be able to track fast-moving subjects with precise autofocus that locks in within milliseconds using a phase detection autofocus and dual focus algorithm.

AUTEL EVO Review - [Flight Test Part 1 In-Depth / Pros \u0026 Cons] Better Than a Mavic?

Autel’s mid-range drone series, EVO Lite, starts at $1,149

Autel Robotics has officially announced a mid-range drone series, EVO Lite, to bridge the gap between the sub-250-gram EVO Nano and the popular EVO II drones. With a maximum flight time of 40 minutes, the drone series comes in two options: The EVO Lite, which features a 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor capable of 50MP stills and 4K video, and the EVO Lite+, which comes with a 1-inch CMOS camera sensor capable of 6K video and 20MP stills.

EVO Lite and EVO Lite+ price and colors

You can buy the single-battery base model of EVO Lite for $1,149, while the EVO Lite+ will carry a price tag of $1,249 without the battery bundle. Three color options are available: the classic Autel Orange, Deep Space Gray, and Arctic White.

EVO Lite+ specs and features

The Lite+ is equipped with a 1-inch CMOS image sensor and Autel’s intelligent moonlight algorithm that allow the drone to capture crisp, vibrant details at night with low noise, even when the ISO is cranked up high. An adjustable aperture from f/2.8-f/11 provides the ability to alter exposure and depth of field.

Defog mode

This handy fog penetration feature adjusts the camera’s vibrance settings and allows the drone to cut through the haze, making gloomy footage look crisp and clear. Moreover, when shooting scenes with too much contrast, the EVO Lite+ can automatically balance overexposure and underexposure to produce clearer images.

EVO Lite specs

The Autel EVO Lite comes with the world’s first 4-axis gimbal design, meaning you can also shoot vertical videos for easy editing and sharing on mobile devices.

A supersensitive 50MP camera equipped with a 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor adopts an RYYB color filter array design, absorbing 40% more light than traditional RGGB arrays and allowing you to capture natural scenery in all its glory.

HDR video and cinematic shots

Both EVO Lite and Lite+ drones offer HDR video and automatic shooting modes, such as flick, rocket, fade away, and orbit. You can create dramatic, professional-level shots at the touch of a button using the Autel Sky app. You can also add sounds and effects to make videos even more epic.

Subject tracking

Autel’s new drones can track fast-moving subjects with precise autofocus that locks in within milliseconds using a phase detection autofocus and dual focus algorithm, Dynamic Track 2.1.

Obstacle avoidance

The Lite series features Autel’s new ultra-wide-angle obstacle avoidance cameras. The sensors give the drones a front field of view of 150 degrees, eliminating more blind spots than traditional systems while reducing the number of cameras needed.

Autel SkyLink

Autel says that the EVO Lite series supports the company’s strongest image transmission system yet, aka SkyLink, to offer a transmission range of 7.4 miles and transmission quality of 2.7K/30fps. Even more interestingly, the Lite series supports three frequencies – 2.4/5.8/5.2GHz – to relay stunning HD video.

EVO Lite and EVO Lite+ availability

The drones are expected to hit the market by the end of October 2021, along with the new Autel EVO Nano series.

Autel Robotics Evo II

The Autel Robotics Evo II (Evo 2) is an exciting update to the initial Evo. Sharing much of the same ideology for form-factor and flight characteristics, the newer machine is an update in almost every way. Primarily, pilots should be excited for 40 minute flight times, extended connectivity range, and an 8K camera. Sure, you can upgrade to a Pro model that has a larger sensor and only a 6K camera, but base model Evo II buyers are getting their hands on one of the first consumer products to shoot 8K video, not just drones, one of the first, period.

This orange folding drone is a machine that satisfies consumers, but also tackles commercial and professional needs. Notably, the top model of the new Evo II line comes with a dual-camera configuration, sporting an 8K sensor and a decent IR camera. The base model and the commercial model each get that 1/2-inch 8K sensor, while the pro model gets a full 1-inch 6K sensor. They can all send the camera feed back to the Autel Robotics Live Deck, for your studio and independent recording needs as well.

The Autel Robotics Evo II will be available in early 2020 starting at $1495. Exact prices and availability yet to be announced.

  • Evo II – $1495
  • Evo II Pro – $1795
  • Evo II Dual – $1999+

AUTEL EVO Review - [Flight Test Part 1 In-Depth / Pros \u0026 Cons] Better Than a Mavic?

Autel takes on DJI Mini, announces the sub-250g EVO Nano and the EVO Lite

Today, Autel Robotics announced two new drones – a sub 250g EVO Nano+ and the EVO Lite. Notably, the Nano is the first drone in its size class to offer an obstacle avoidance system while the Lite is the first drone ever to offer up a 4-axis gimbal – giving users the ability to record vertical videos. A feature called SonarSound, a built-in microphone in the remote, allows users to record voices and other sounds from the ground.

The Nano series — aimed at beginners

Weighing in at 249g, the EVO Nano+ has a camera, mounted on a 3-axis gimbal, with a 1/1.28" CMOS (0.8") sensor that captures 50MP photos. A RYYB color filter with a F1.9 aperture reduces noise in images taken at night or in low-light conditions. HDR mode captures several of the same photo at different exposures that can be stitched together in post-production. A PDAF + CDAF autofocus system allows remote pilots to track fast-moving subjects.

The Nano is the first-ever sub-250g drone to offer up obstacle avoidance.

The EVO Nano has a 1/2" CMOS sensor, 48MP camera capable of capturing up to 4K/30p video. Both drones feature Dynamic Track 2:1 – which allows for the tracking of subjects including people, animals, and cars. Following DJI's lead, Autel is offering users several automated cinematic shooting modes, including Rocket and Orbit, and MovieMaster allows you to automatically add filters and templates along with a soundtrack through its Sky app.

Autel's SkyLink transmission system for the Nano allows for a range of up to 6.2 miles, supports three frequencies (2.4/5.8/5.2GHz), with a streaming quality of 2.7K/30p in HDR. You can also instantly upload your photos to your smartphone at a speed of 160Mbps by placing your drone next to the phone and remote – no need to connect the drone. SonarSound, a built-in microphone allows for the recording of voices, and other ambient sounds at ground level. The Nano can fly up to 28 minutes per battery.

Like DJI's products, the Nano and Lite offer up automated cinematic modes and the ability to track subjects.

Most notably, the Nano series offers up a three-way binocular vision sensor system, with a 150º front FOV, that allows the drone to avoid obstacles in the front of, behind, and below the aircraft. This is the first sub-250g drone. You will not need to register this drone with the Federal Aviation Administration, or similar agency, as long as you're operating as a hobbyist.

The Lite series — a mid-range set

Weighing 820g, the Lite+ drone has a camera with a 1" CMOS sensor, a variable F2.8-F11 aperture, that can capture 20MP stills. Autel created what it calls an intelligent moonlight algorithm that allows the camera to capture crisp and detailed imagery at night, even with the ISO 'cranked up high.' It's also capable of up to 6K/30p video.

The Lite series offers up a 4-axis mechanical gimbal, perfect for capturing vertical imagery.

The EVO Lite is equipped with a 50MP, 1/1.28" CMOS (0.8") RYYB sensor camera. The RYYB sensor absorbs 40% more light than traditional RGGB. It can capture 4K HDR video. Both Lite drones mount cameras on a first-of-its-kind 4-axis mechanical gimbal that allows for imagery capture in a vertical orientation.

Like the Nano, automated cinematic modes and Dynamic 2:1 tracking are available through the Autel Sky app. SonarSound, MovieMaster, and 'Snap and Share' are also there. The Lite series also contains the same 3-way obstacle avoidance system.

The Lite is the first drone in its class to also offer up to 40 minutes of battery life per flight. Its SkyLink transmission system supports three frequencies, 2.4/5.8/5.2GHz, and has a range of up to 7.4 miles with 2.7K/30p HDR streaming video quality.

Pricing

The EVO Nano starts at $649 while the Nano+ costs $799. The series is available in four colors: Autel Orange, Arctic White, Deep Space Gray, and Blazing Red. The EVO Lite series starts at $1,149 while the Lite+ is $1,249 for the basic package. The drones come in three colors: Autel Orange, Arctic White, and Deep Space Gray. All models are expected to be available for purchase by the end of October. More information can be found on Autel's blog.
